DAY TRIPS: Tidal Bore Rafting

An increasingly popular activity for visitors to the Nova Scotia is tidal bore rafting on the Shubenacadie River. This activity, however, depends on the arrival of the tidal bore, a naturally phenomena of the tide cycle in some rivers of the Bay of Fundy. The tidal bore arrives every twelve and a half hours, so is at a different time each day during the twenty-eight day moon cycle.

Tidal bore rafting is one of a number of activities in the central Nova Scotia area we suggest to visitors spending an extra day at the Belgravia.
